Full pump repair and overhaul

Full pump repair and overhaul

At our Martonvásár service center, our team handles repair requests with years of hands-on experience, supported by the expert backing of the manufacturers we represent. In addition to arranging transport to and from the workshop and dismantling complete pump units, we also carry out mechanical and chemical cleaning of components.

Based on a documented condition assessment report, we provide a quotation for the required repair work. We then reassemble the pumps using genuine parts to ensure high quality and reliable operation. Our service offering provides end-to-end support for our customers.

Preventive maintenance and extended service life

Preventive maintenance and life‑extension measures are crucial for the reliable and economical operation of pumps. Visual inspections of units, even during operation, are essential for the early detection of potential issues.

Our service department provides comprehensive support, including pickup and delivery of pumps to the workshop, mechanical and chemical cleaning of components, and reassembly using genuine manufacturer parts. Our goal is to ensure that our customers always receive the highest quality and reliability.

Commissioning

After installation, commissioning is an essential step. This includes checking the pipe connections, performing shaft alignment, and filling the barrier fluid. This is followed by vibration diagnostics to confirm the pump operates within the specified parameters.

Our service technicians carry out commissioning using the latest instruments. Proper commissioning is essential not only for warranty compliance, but also for safe and cost-effective operation.

Shaft alignment

After assembling the pump and electric motor, the shafts of both machines must be brought into precise alignment. Even deviations of a tenth of a millimeter can cause significant vibrations and reduce the equipment’s service life.

The required alignment tolerances are defined by ISO standards depending on operating speed. Since we are dealing with tolerances of tenths or even hundredths of a millimeter, the adjustment is performed using a dual-apex laser instrument. Shaft alignment must be carried out on newly assembled machines as well as after any disassembly and reassembly.

Diagnostics and condition assessment

The most effective way to verify proper pump operation is vibration diagnostic instrument. The instrument uses four sensors, two of which are placed on the pump and two on the electric motor.

The measurement does not only confirm whether the pump is operating correctly, but also helps identify where the fault is and what is causing it. It must be used after commissioning, but it is also ideal for non-intrusive condition assessments.

Unit assembly

The pump units we supply typically consist of four main components: the pump, electric motor, baseplate, and coupling. These can be purchased as a complete package, but we always configure the most suitable combination for our customers’ requirements.

As we represent multiple manufacturers and can produce custom parts for frames based on special requirements, we ensure that each unit is configured for maximum suitability and cost-efficiency. The assembled units are delivered ready for installation.

Barrier fluid system installation

Barrier fluid systems are used in pumps that handle hazardous materials, where even minimal leakage of the conveyed medium into the environment must be prevented.

These systems also consist of multiple components, and our experts, drawing on decades of experience, can assist with component selection, system assembly, and installation.

Component measurement, 3D scanning, and manufacturing

We primarily use 3D scanning and measurement for machines that have been in operation for a long time, where the machine documentation is no longer available and spare parts supply is difficult.

In such cases, we scan the part to be replaced using a 3D scanner. This significantly speeds up and simplifies the measurement process. Once the accurate 3D model is available, we can manufacture a replacement part matching the original in our CNC workshop.

Bearing housing re-machining and bushing replacement

For machines with high operating hours, it can happen during overhaul that the bearing no longer seats perfectly in the aged housing. In such cases, however, the machine does not need to be discarded; with precision machining and bushing replacement, it can be restored to a condition equivalent to the original.

Bearing installation and machining are carried out in our CNC workshop according to industrial standards and requirements. Bearings and shaft alignment in refurbished machines match the specifications of the original equipment.

Dynamic rotor balancing up to 700 kg

One of our newest services, which we have been offering to our customers since 2022, involves precision balancing of rotating pump components. For this purpose, we have invested in one of the most advanced balancing machines currently available on the market, suitable for balancing pump impellers, shafts, and couplings.

Balancing these rotating components is recommended after every disassembly and reassembly. Proper balancing helps prevent excessive vibration and failures and can significantly extend equipment service life.
